The Ombudsman for Persons with Disabilities is an independent state institution whose essential role is to protect, monitor, and promote the rights and interests of persons with disabilities. Taking into account the importance that this institution represents, it was extremely important to create a completely new website in accordance with the elements of digital accessibility.

What is Digital Accessibility? Digital accessibility is the practice of adapting websites, mobile applications, and other digital content and services so that all users can access, use, and understand them regardless of visual, hearing, motor, or cognitive difficulties (temporary or permanent) (Source: Central State Office for the development of digital society).

Our established practice when creating websites is to always go one step further, and that was the case in this project as well. We decided on a design that will have the largest possible amount of digital accessibility elements without using any additional tools. We paid attention to every detail: font, color contrast, spacing between text lines, photo customization, content descriptions, etc. Only when we exhausted all possibilities we added an accessibility tool. But, we went a step further. Most websites use accessibility tools with only 3-4 available options. Our accessibility tool contains 36 available options because we felt it was necessary for the website, such as the Ombudsman for Persons with Disabilities, to have them.
